We’ve heard the song for years….and most of us have never questioned the lyrics. This is a song that is written in the classic style of such great folk song writers such as Woodie Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and many others. We now see that this song, which often believed in the past to be a simple holiday ditty (or ballad…if you prefer)…could actually be a subconscious admission of murder...or possibly something even more sinister. Let’s look closely at some of the lyrics…..
“Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe
She'd been drinkin' too much egg nog
And we'd begged her not to go
But she'd left her medication
So she stumbled out the door into the snow
When they found her Christmas mornin'
At the scene of the attack
There were hoof prints on her forehead
And incriminatin' Claus marks on her back”
Upon closer observation of the lyrics….there are some obvious questions that come to mind……If indeed Grandma had been drinking too much “eggnog”, why was she allowed to walk home by herself?....And “we begged her not to go”….hmmmm, I wonder how hard you REALLY tried. Are you saying that between you and Grandpa…(and whomever other family members were present)….that you could not subdue a stumbling-down drunk old lady?....Could it be that the “medication” that she HAD to “stumble out the door into the snow” to retrieve, had a deadly reaction to the obscene level of alcohol that she had ingested?
Then we have to look at the evidence that was “at the scene”. The song says that there were “hoof prints on her forehead” AND “Claus marks on her back”…I’m no forensic scientist, but the marks on both the front of the body AND the back of the body…clearly indicate that there was certainly more than one person involved in this heinous act. With that in mind…I would like to offer up a couple of possibilities…..
First would be the obvious….that the grandchild of Grandma, and Grandpa himself were involved in the murder. I only bring that up since records show that 3 weeks prior to Grandma’s untimely death, Grandpa had taken out a $1,000,000 insurance policy. And guess who is listed as the beneficiary on the policy? Our sources have located a copy of said insurance policy, and the name listed as the sole beneficiary is none other than Grandpa. That’s right. So we have motive. As far as the ability to actually commit the murder…..I as of yet, do not have direct proof….but I would say that at best, Grandpa is guilty of gross negligence in the death of his wife. Looking into another stanza of the “song”, also shows that there is very little remorse on Grandpa’s part. Look at these words…(PARENTAL WARNING:GRAPHIC VIOLENCE AND LEWD ACTIVITIES ARE DEPICTED)……..
“Now were all so proud of Grandpa,
He's been takin' this so well.
See him in there watchin' football,
Drinkin' beer and playin' cards with cousin Belle”
Tragically we see that even after the untimely death of his spouse of 57 years….not only is Grandpa “taking this so well”….He is now able to spend his time “watchin’ football” instead of working. I’m sure that is entirely due to the $1,000,000 life insurance payout. As if that in and of itself (I love saying that....“in and of itself”…I really don’t understand it, but it really sounds cool)….as if that, in and of itself, isn’t enough….we see that Grandpa now spends most of his time “drinkin beer” while shacked up with Grandma’s cousin. A woman reportedly named “Belle”.
Now I know most of you are saying right now….”Case closed…Grandpa is GUILTY”…(or you’re saying to yourself….”Hmmm…I wonder how they put toothpaste in a tube so that it comes out in two completely separate and distinct colors”) For those of you who think Grandpa is guilty….hold on for just a minute…….
On October 1, 2009….UPI.com cited the following story in its category of “Top News”…..(sadly, this part is true...)
SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 1 (UPI) – “Former President George W. Bush flew to Utah aboard a Texas oil company plane, apparently for a hunting trip, flight records showed.
FlightAware.com indicated a Bombardier CL-600 twin-engine plane owned Texas oil man Ray Hunt of Hunt Consolidated Inc., who is a friend of the Bush family, left Sunday from Utah, the Salt Lake Tribune reported Thursday.
Hunt owns a 27,000-acre ranch near Sunnyside, Utah, where there are many deer and elk for hunting. Records indicate that Bush bought a non-residential hunting license Sept. 24, the newspaper reported. Bush's activities during the weekend are not known”
Some of you already see where I am going with this….That’s right…George W. Bush killed Grandma and framed Grandpa. This is how it happened……..
Bush flew out to Utah and went “deer and elk hunting” (coincidence?...I think NOT). The UPI reported that his “activities during the week were unknown”. While in Utah, he met up with Dick Cheney and together they killed a deer. They then cut off the deer’s feet, and put them in a cooler for use at a later time...knowing that to the untrained eye....deer and elk feet look very much like "reindeer" feet. Then they traveled to Grandma’s neighborhood and set up camp near Grandma’s house….just waiting for their opportunity to kill Grandma. They were pleasantly surprised on Christmas Eve, to see Grandma alone and drunk, stumbling through the snow. They knew that this was their chance. Knowing that they would never have another opportunity like this….they jumped from behind the bushes….each one carrying a foot from the deer that they had killed in Utah and bludgeoned Grandma to death with those "reindeer" feet. As to the “Claus marks” reportedly found on the body….everyone knows that “Claus marks” can be easily duplicated by using a smooth, curved piece of iron. (much like the iron used in the gate that surrounds the White House) It was easy to frame Grandpa since the insurance policy was written by one of Bush’s brother’s, wife’s, 2nd cousin’s, next door neighbor’s son….and we now know that Grandpa was solicited to purchase the policy…he did not go on his own to purchase insurance on Grandma…..With that said….CASE CLOSED….right?
Forget the fact that there was no motive….there was no opportunity….the timing of the events just don't work out....neither Dick Cheney nor George Bush knew Grandma....AND mostly because it's just STUPID. But, those things don’t matter to a lot of people…End of story...THEY DID IT. Why? Because we love to blame stuff on George Bush. One of my favorites is Hurricane Katrina….there are people who REALLY believe that he was responsible for the hurricane. Another is the war in Iraq….Yeah it was Bush all by himself, that took us into Iraq….no help from Congress, just George. (well and Cheney). And now the Obama administration is blaming ALL of the troubles of this country on George Bush…when they have doubled the national debt after only 11 months in power. At what point do they have to start taking responsibility for their own actions? Wake up people….(while some of them are)....ALL the problems of the world are not George W. Bush’s fault. So I just think that if we are going to blame every negative world event on Bush….then we need to go ahead and put the death of Grandma on that list as well…..Then Again….That’s Just Me

WTF…..Washington?
That’s right……I said it….WTF?
In recent weeks there has been a lot of time spent in Congress doing 2 things that they seem to do best…… Intimidation and that old ever popular stand-by…Bribery. Yup…a whole lot of that going on up there. Now it’s not the low level kind of intimidation and bribery that we normally think of. Well….except for a few people like Rep. William J. Jefferson from Louisiana...who is still kickin’ it “old-school” and keepin’ it real. Remember, he's the guy...who back in 2005, authorities found $90,000 in cash in his freezer. Some would say “well that’s been SO long ago…and you only bring that up because he’s a Democrat”….No I only bring it up because HE’S A THIEF…..Not just ANY thief…..but a thief who continued to serve in the House of Representatives until he was tossed out of office in 2008....not by his fellow House members, who said that they were going to put an end to this type of corruption....but by the VOTERS of his district. Jefferson continued to serve in the House between 2005 and 2008 without any outcry by Ms. Pelosi about the “cold cash” in his freezer. That was in spite of what she said, as she came into power as the Speaker of the House…that she was going to “clean up the swamp”….referring to getting rid of corruption in the House of Representatives. So much for that…..huh?...How that workin’ for ya’ Nancy?...(Note to Charlie Rangel: Based on this evidence…even though you too are a thief and a tax cheat…it’s ok to “do lunch” with Nancy) Anyway….where was I ?.....oh yeah….Intimidation and Bribery in Congress.... Before we go any further...let me say that if it seems that I cut my normal commentary (i.e. rant) a bit short, not only here…but also in the next couple of paragraphs…it’s only because the important part comes at the very end…..so stick with me…With that said…I will be glad to debate this issue with anyone only AFTER you read this piece to the very end…..and only then…if you can honestly say that I’m wrong.
So what’s been going on up in Washington?....First there is Intimidation....There are some Congressional leaders who still like to use the old “Chicago-style” arm-twisting technique to get their way….While there might not be any literal arm twisting (I said “might not be”)….there are certainly a lot of suggestions (i.e. threats) that are offered up by Congressional leaders...in order to assure that fellow Congresspeople fall in line, and vote as they are told to vote. For example…suggestions/threats like “We won’t back you for re-election if you don’t vote the way we tell you to vote”. What ever happened to that silly concept of representing your constituents? (Now before some of my Democrat/Liberal friends get their nose all out of joint….let me say this…IT HAPPENS ON BOTH SIDE OF THE AISLE…OK?....get over it already….) Here’s what needs to happen….Go to Washington and do your job…Instead of throwing billions of dollars of wasteful spending into unrelated bills….just so you can make the “folks back home” think that you are looking out for them….tell the truth….you are stealing tax money from one group of people...so that you can send it back home….so that ultimately, you can get re-elected. The simple version is...you’re buying votes….Which brings us to the other method of getting things done that we mentioned……
The other method of securing votes from fellow members of Congress (and as we’ve seen…the folks back home as well)…is one that is also tried and true….it's Bribery. I’m not anti-Louisiana, but this next little tidbit also happens to deal with someone from Louisiana. It seems that Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu got a $300 million Medicaid "fix" for her home state just before voting in favor of cloture last Saturday night….(the move that would officially put the Senate health bill on the floor for consideration). Let me see if I have this right….(I’m going to type this part very slowly so that I can understand as I go)….A person (or group of persons) in the U.S. Senate…..told fellow Senator Mary Landrieu…..that THEY would give HER state $300,000,000 (300 million dollars)…….of someone else’s money….. IF she would vote the way that they wanted her to vote….. Sound about right?....(Well there’s certainly nothing RIGHT about it….but does that sound correct?)….I'm not going to resort to name calling...but in many states, if you did that same thing (take money in exchange for "favors")....it would get you arrested. I’m not going to elaborate…mainly because that IS what happened…and yeah…I don’t give a monkey’s butt whether or not this has been done for decades….STOP IT !!! The issue is not whether or not it has “always been done that way”….the issue is that it HAS TO STOP.
So while you guys in Congress are patting yourselves on the back, for a job well done....(when all you really did was waste hundreds of millions of tax dollars on ONE vote...NOT to solve the problem of health care....rather, all of that money was spent just to be able to talk more about your disastrous health care bill in the future. A bill that if it is eventually passed....will waste billions more of our tax dollars)...and then run out the door of the Senate...so you can fly home to that big Thanksgiving dinner with your family. As you're getting ready to take the first bite of that perfectly prepared turkey...think about what I've said....and then for once....YOU need to ask... WTF….Washington?............. Then Again….That’s Just Me

My Plan For Reforming Health Care And Saving Billions Of Dollars…All At The Same Time……
Recently the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (that’s real, I didn’t make that up) issued a statement that the previously held belief that women should receive regular mammograms starting at age 40, is wrong. Here is a quote from the study…”The USPSTF recommends against routine screening mammography in women aged 40 to 49 years”….It isn't just a matter of them saying “well, you don’t really HAVE to do it”…..No…what they are saying is that they are “against” it. The report also went on to say “The USPSTF recommends against clinicians teaching women how to perform breast self-examination.” Hmmmmm…..why would that be?….According to the USPSTF, the studies found that mammograms in women aged 40 to 49 led to false positive tests that created a need for invasive procedures like biopsies and generated anxiety. Now I am sure that most woman out there would rather develop a deadly disease like breast cancer…rather than be at risk for a “false positive” or some kind of “generated anxiety” …..Right? After all, there are probably a LOT of women who die every year from “false positives”.
Here’s just a little tiny problem that I see with this recommendation…… The probability of a woman under the age of 50, developing breast cancer within the next 10 years is “1 out of 37”. Those are pretty good odds right?....I mean…seriously… that’s a pretty good reason NOT to have a mammogram until you are 50…right?...After all…if your odds are only 1 in 37 that you will develop breast cancer….who would want to risk a “false positive” or risk experiencing “generated anxiety” if the odds are that low? Now before you say “where did you get those numbers….did you pull them out of (fill in the blank)?......Actually no I didn’t make them up…..these are from the American Cancer Society’s “Breast Cancer Facts & Figures”. Here’s another fun fact from the same silly little organization (The American Cancer Society)…..”While breast cancer is less common at a young age (i.e., in their thirties), younger women tend to have more aggressive breast cancers than older women, which may explain why survival rates are lower among younger women.” Well….now there’s an even BETTER reason to wait until you’re 50…the cancer in younger women, not only tends to be “more aggressive” …those same younger women also have lower “survival rates”. That’s good…..right?
If you are still reading….you might be saying to yourself…”what is this guy’s problem, and what is his point?”…or you could just be saying to yourself “you know, it’s really hard to find a good pastrami sandwich these days”….whichever of these questions you were asking, allow me to help (well maybe not with the pastrami issue…you could be on your own there)…… While I am not a doctor…I have a wife and a lot of friends who happen to be women….so I feel that that gives me the right to offer up my opinion……(well that, and that silly First Amendment)
Is it possible that since the government is putting itself on the hook for trillions of dollars worth of health care….that this is the first of many ways to “cut costs”? After all, the savings could be huge (and that’s what we want…. right?) How else can you spend a trillion dollars…AND…save money, all at the same time, unless of course, you find a way to cut corners. So here is my plan for saving even MORE money...the government way…..
In addition to the new mandates for mammograms to begin at 50 instead of 40…..there will also be some changes in certain cancer screening for men. The new mandated age for prostate exams will be raised from 40 to 80….While not having an annual prostate examination would make a lot of men very happy…(if you’ve had one then you know why I say that)…..it will also allow thousands more to die from a type of cancer that is successfully treated in most cases, if detected early. Since prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer found in American men, other than skin cancer…these deaths could result in additional billions of dollars being saved from unnecessary testing. In addition, as with those unnecessary mammograms…fewer prostate exams could also help with lowering issues such as “false positives” and the always dreaded “generated anxiety”….(and what man wouldn’t prefer to have prostate cancer as opposed to a potential “false positive”).
Now you might think that this is just ridiculous….and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. (However wrong you may be)…but we have to be realistic about this government run health care plan. You can only tax the evil "rich" so much before they close down their businesses and industry…..take their jobs and money....and leave the country. Then who is left to foot the bill? Anyone want to take a swing at this question?.....(the answer is the middle class)…..ok…last chance…anyone?...Well let me tell you that the burden will then fall on the shoulders of the middle class to pay these trillions of dollars for health care. When the money is no longer there…..the only thing you can do is cut services….and that means cutting the care that you will receive. I think it is safe to say that it will be the older citizens who will suffer first when heath care rationing takes place. After all…who wants to spend tens of thousands of dollars (or more) to treat grandma….when she might only live for another year or two? Don’t kid yourself that this will never affect you, because it will. Someone has to pay for it…and when there is no one left to tax….then something or someone has to go….and it will probably be grandma. Maybe you’re ok with that right now….just keep in mind that by the time we get to that point…..you might just BE grandma….How will you feel about it then? That is also assuming that you haven’t died in the mean time from some disease that could have been detected….had the government not decided that early detection wasn’t really that important any more.
Maybe I’m ALL wrong on this….I could be….but one thing that I KNOW that I'm not wrong about is this.....Spending trillions of dollars more than we are already spending (that we don’t have to spend) is unsustainable. That means it CANNOT be done…regardless of what Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed might say. (Just as a side note on the “nuclear option” that the Senate may attempt to use in order to shove their 2000+ page bill though…..I’m not necessarily in favor of their version of it….however I AM for a revised version of the nuclear option…. and I’m thinking about a 1 mega-ton “nuclear option” would be more than sufficient to do the job….I’M KIDDING OF COURSE)……But I’m not kidding about this….Congress…..PLEASE stop the nonsense. You cannot tax us into prosperity….or spend us out of a recession……For some of you who are far more intellectual than me...you probably think that I am being much too simplistic....and that I "just don't understand the big picture". Maybe I don't....but as a small business owner and one who has run a family budget for years....I DO know that spending more than you take in.....is a plan for disaster....and that is where I think we are headed as a nation if we don't wake up soon. Grace
Before you say..."Oh boy...this guy has gone off the deep end".....hold on for just a minute. I KNOW that this is supposed to be a "political commentary".....but technically since it's my "political commentary"...and this is what I REALLY feel like I need to do....I'm doing it. I don't do this to be self-aggrandizing....but rather because I feel that it is the most important message that ANYONE could hear today. While I wont apologize for it.....if it's not your "thing", then don't listen....just come back another time and we will get back to the normal course of business. Please take the time to listen and remember that this is not about the messenger...rather it's about the message......Maybe this will hurt my "numbers" as far as readership is concerned....but if it does...so be it....I STILL feel like it was the right thing to do.....Then Again....That's Just Me

This Just In….The 13 Innocent People, Who Died At Ft. Hood Were NOT Killed By Gunfire
Actually….while it was a gun that ended their lives….it was something much more dangerous that actually killed them. This weapon is stealthy and more evil than any gun. It’s something that is too often ignored and not only kills people, but also causes people to lose their jobs and can completely ruin a business. It has invaded our country in an epidemic that makes the Bubonic Plague look like a minor case of the sniffles.
So what is this evil that I am speaking of?......It’s Political Correctness.
Political Correctness by definition is “a term denoting language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social offense in gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, handicap, and age-related contexts”
That’s obviously an academic definition and not a “real world” definition….because that definition makes political correctness seem as if it is a good thing. (remember what I said about it being “stealthy”) The key to modern-day political correctness is however found in the definition….”seeking to minimize social offence” . While on the surface, most people might say…”I don’t want to offend anyone”….what really happens, is that we try so hard not to offend someone, that in the process we offend a LOT of people….or worse yet, in the case of the Ft. Hood terrorist attack…..we see people killed. All in the name of “seeking to minimize social offence”.
While President Obama made an attempt to sound “presidential” in his remarks at the Ft. Hood memorial, he stopped short of calling the shooter what he was….A TERRORIST. Now before you jump up and tell me that he was just following his own advice…..(You know the advice that he gave on the day of the shooting where he said “We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts”) .....let me say..."Yeah I'm sure that’s what it was….he didn’t want to jump to any conclusions, before he had the facts". That is admirable…..but it is only admirable when you are consistent in its application. What about the episode where one of his Harvard professor buddies was arrested by police who were responding to a 911 call at a home….you know the one where someone reported that there were two men breaking into a house?.....Do you remember what he said following that incident?.....here are HIS words….(I have highlighted certain parts)
“Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact.”
So let me get this right….(stay with me because I’m not very smart) A professor (friend) is arrested for what was reported to be a break-in….the police respond and do their job….no one is physically hurt…you don’t have the FACTS (by your own admission)…..and yet, it’s ok to make a public proclamation that the “police acted stupidly”? Did I get that right?......BUT….on the other hand…here is a guy that has killed 13 people and injured 43….while yelling “Allahu Akbar” before opening fire…..and we are told not to “jump to any conclusions”….before we have all the facts. Now I know that someone is saying right about now….“well it was the first day and the president didn’t know the facts” (even though we know that lack of facts don’t really matter when its comes to making a statement about white police officers arresting a black man)….but let’s let that one slide….But what about the day of the memorial….I’m guessing that as president….you have pretty good access to the facts…(just a guess on my part though)…With all of the facts that had come out about the shooter and his ties to radical Islam….why was there still no statement about terrorism? Here’s what President Obama said at the Ft. Hood memorial “They were killed here, on American soil, in the heart of this great American community. It is this fact that makes the tragedy even more painful and even more incomprehensible” …..First of all, it was NOT just a “tragedy”, it was an act of terrorism. Secondly, with the facts that were in, just up to that point….what was “incomprehensible” about it?....The shooter was (by his own admission)… a “Muslim first and an American second”…..He had told colleagues that “Muslims should rise up against American aggressors”….It was a fact that he did not want to go to Afghanistan and kill Muslims…(although, as a psychiatrist, it’s not likely that he would have been asked to kill anyone)….although it was obvious that he was ok with killing fellow American soldiers….. It is a fact that he had several contacts with Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical imam overseas who has come under scrutiny for possible links to terror groups as well as a "spiritual adviser" to three of the 9/11 hijackers. It is a fact that he made numerous statements to colleagues regarding his radical Muslim views. The Washington Post reported on its web site that “Hasan turned a medical presentation at Walter Reed into a rant on Islam in late 2007”. The same article also reported that “colleagues at Fort Hood said they had complained to higher-ups that Hasan was anti-American”. So tell me again what was incomprehensible…..For God’s sake…he was a terrorist….just admit it….(just a note to Obama’s speech writers: you don’t have to fly an airplane into a building to be considered a terrorist)….
But it’s not just Obama who is tripping over himself to be “politically correct”. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey said the following on CNN’s “State of the Union”….”frankly, I am worried — not worried, but I’m concerned that this increased speculation could cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers. And I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that. It would be a shame — as great a tragedy as this was, it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well”. Yeah as a General in the Army…and certainly as the Army Chief of Staff….my number one concern would be that our diversity could become a casualty….13 unarmed soldiers at an Army Base….not so much….but the death of diversity would certainly be a tragedy.
We are dancing around the issue of Islamic terrorists who want to kill Americans…..like a 5 year old doing the pee-pee dance. We will make this killer a victim, because of “religious persecution”, rather than call it what it is…..TERRORISM. I am certainly not saying that ALL Muslims are terrorists. However…please read carefully….If Islam is really a “religion of peace”, like we are told to believe….then where are the leaders of this peaceful religion, who should be standing up and calling for an end to this type of thing? They’re simply not there. When some idiot, so-called Christian kills an abortion doctor….while it didn’t take long for the media to point out his “Christianity”….it also didn’t take long for Christian leaders to stand up and say that this type of thing is NOT acceptable. So where are the Muslim leaders who should be doing the same thing? When are we going to stop this nonsense and call things what they really are.....I think that as long as our “leaders” are not willing to call a terrorist a terrorist (even though the evidence is there)…..and as long as we as citizens are afraid of being called a racist....as long as we afraid of being be sued...or worse yet....afraid of being charged with a "hate crime" for speaking up when we suspect someone might be plotting something like the Ft Hood terrorist attack….then nothing will change…..and we will continue to see this type of thing happen again and again. That kind of fear only means one thing....the terrorists have succeeded, by definition, at what they set out to do.........Then Again….That’s Just Me
So what is this evil that I am speaking of?......It’s Political Correctness.
Political Correctness by definition is “a term denoting language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social offense in gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, handicap, and age-related contexts”
That’s obviously an academic definition and not a “real world” definition….because that definition makes political correctness seem as if it is a good thing. (remember what I said about it being “stealthy”) The key to modern-day political correctness is however found in the definition….”seeking to minimize social offence” . While on the surface, most people might say…”I don’t want to offend anyone”….what really happens, is that we try so hard not to offend someone, that in the process we offend a LOT of people….or worse yet, in the case of the Ft. Hood terrorist attack…..we see people killed. All in the name of “seeking to minimize social offence”.
While President Obama made an attempt to sound “presidential” in his remarks at the Ft. Hood memorial, he stopped short of calling the shooter what he was….A TERRORIST. Now before you jump up and tell me that he was just following his own advice…..(You know the advice that he gave on the day of the shooting where he said “We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts”) .....let me say..."Yeah I'm sure that’s what it was….he didn’t want to jump to any conclusions, before he had the facts". That is admirable…..but it is only admirable when you are consistent in its application. What about the episode where one of his Harvard professor buddies was arrested by police who were responding to a 911 call at a home….you know the one where someone reported that there were two men breaking into a house?.....Do you remember what he said following that incident?.....here are HIS words….(I have highlighted certain parts)
“Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact.”

If You’re A Christian….You’re Ignorant, Crazy And Evil….
……However if you’re a Muslim….an Islamic radical….a Jihadist…..or someone who has attended services at a mosque….known someone who has attended services at a mosque….walked by a mosque….or know what a mosque is……THEN AND ONLY THEN can you kill several people and be assured of not having your religious beliefs brought up in a news story…..
After all we are a nation that practices tolerance toward those who believe differently than we do. Well…not quite. If you are Muslim…then yes. If you are a Christian….then it would be a resounding no. If someone commits a crime and they have ever claimed to be a Christian…a lot of the "mainstream" media would report it like this…..
John Doe, 53 a devout Christian, who attended church with his family at The First Church of Wherever….was charged today with driving 65 in a 55 mile per hour zone. Officials say that this heinous act was committed while his wife and 3 children were in the car with him. The arresting officer said he had never seen anything this tragic and irresponsible in all of his 3 weeks in law enforcement. Those close to Doe said that he was a member of the NRA, the Republican Party, as well as a rabid supporter of the war in Iraq. He also voted for George W. Bush not once, but two times. Reports say that he not only had radical Christian views…but also that he supported a movement to spread Christianity throughout the world. He also reportedly was involved in teaching small children his radical views, and was described by those who attended the same church, as a “Sunday School Teacher”. The silence in this matter is deafening since when asked to comment on this, Doe’s pastor had no comment. In another action that clearly proves that he is guilty, Doe has hired John Smith, also a right-wing extremist Christian, as his attorney to represent him, in what some legal analysts say could, and should, be tried as a capital case.
Ok….maybe that’s a little extreme…..but look at the reporting of recent events at Ft Hood and try to convince me that any “mainstream” media organization is reporting the facts….or asking the tough questions regarding Nidal Malik Hasan who killed 13 people and injured another 42. In most of these news stories in the “mainstream" media, Hasan is described as “Major Nidal Hasan”….as an “Army Officer”…as an “Army Psychiatrist”…and then of course as a “U.S.-born citizen of Palestinian descent”….However the Associated Press did report the following…..”A radical American imam living in Yemen….who had contact with two 9/11 hijackers…..praised Hasan as a hero on his personal Web site Monday”. Well that’s certainly to his credit…don’t you think? Of course that hard-hitting news organization CNN, did have some powerful insight as to why Hasan might have gone on his shooting spree….”A Muslim, he had told his family he had been taunted after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In August, he reported to police that his car was keyed and a bumper sticker that read "Allah is Love" was torn off. A neighbor was charged with criminal mischief after that complaint.”. Well that makes sense….doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t go out and kill a bunch of people if someone made fun of them….keyed their car….and tore off their bumper sticker? We can only hope that the person who tore off his “I Love Allah” bumper sticker….(probably one of those radical Christians)….will get the death penalty for their hate crime.
If you think that it sounds as though I’m a little bit pissed off…..then you would be wrong. I’m a WHOLE LOT pissed off. For God’s sake, the man was in close contact with someone who is under investigation for being involved in terrorism. He made numerous statements to colleagues regarding his radical Muslim views. The Post also reported that “colleagues at Fort Hood said they had complained to higherups that Hasan was anti-American”. Hasan had also told Col. Terry Lee, a colleague at Fort Hood, that he believed “Muslims should rise up against American aggressors". Given those facts….let’s be careful that we don’t label him as some kind of extremist. Let’s not try to tie his radical religious views into the horrendous acts that he committed. After all, we would never want the facts to get in the way of the truth.
In light of these things that are slowly coming out…..do you wonder why no one paid attention to those things?.....this could be it…..”Army officials have voiced concern about jumping to any conclusions about Hasan's motive, warning about a possible backlash against Muslim soldiers”. Yeah we wouldn’t want that would we? Yeah we don’t want anyone to suffer any kind of “backlash”. Well of course unless they are a Christian. I would bet that if this were a Christian (although, unlike Islamic extremist, REAL Christians don’t go out and kill people in the name of their religion)….anyway, where was I…oh yeah….if this were a Christian, who killed someone in a traffic accident, there would be some anti-Christian news organization that would have NO problem “jumping to conclusions” that this behavior was not an accident, rather it was motivated by deeply entrenched Christian hatred toward Muslims.
It’s time to call the man what he is….evil. Maybe he is troubled….but that doesn’t make him any LESS evil. If these things were done out of a deep-seated hatred toward Americans (soldiers in particular) Then he should be tried for treason. If his justification for shooting innocent people is related to his religious beliefs….then call it what it is. Why do we insist on dancing around the truth of the fact, that there are a LOT of Islamic extremist, who want to kill us? And a LOT of them are living right here in our country. I will NOT apologize for my Christian heritage….I will NOT apologize for the Christian heritage of my country…As an American citizen you have the right to worship however you want….but don’t you dare try to kill my fellow citizens in the name of your religion and think that I don’t have the right to point it out….
I will admit that I am not a journalist and I have no formal journalistic training….but at least I will speak the truth…..So the following is for some of you “trained professional journalist” out there….”I believe that you need to wake up to the fact that evil actions are evil, regardless of what label that they are committed under?….I believe that you need to lay off of your obvious hatred for Christians….and your love for, fear of, or whatever it is, toward radical Islam and anyone else who hates Christians….I believe that you need to try something different for a change and try reporting the truth?....I believe that its time to report things for what they really are, call a spade a spade (or a terrorist a terrorist)”…...Then Again….That’s Just Me

If We Outlaw Banks, It Will Put An End To Bank Robberies….
Before I say anything else, let me offer my condolences to the families of those who have been killed or injured in the events of the past few days at Ft Hood, TX and in Orlando, FL. While I am not trying to politicize these events, I do want to make a couple comments……
It seems that any time there is a mass shooting by some wacko…within a few days the anti-gun people come out in force. Their solution is to get rid of ALL guns. They say things like…”you see, if it was illegal to own a gun, these things wouldn’t happen”……I guess their logic is that a criminal who will kill people, or rape someone, or rob someone’s home or business would draw the line at breaking the law in order to find a gun to use in the commission of their crime. With that said let me offer the following........
In the early 1900’s, bank robber Willie Sutton was asked why he robbed banks….His answer was very simple…he said “Because that’s where the money is”. If we take Mr Sutton’s statement and combine it with the logic of the anti-gun people….then the best way to prevent bank robberies is to close all of the banks. After all if there were no banks, there would be no bank robberies. The problem with that logic is that if someone really wants to steal money…they will find it somewhere…if it’s not a bank…it will just be somewhere else. Closing banks does not “fix” the problem of people stealing money, if that is what they are determined to do.
Following that same logic….let’s look at a couple other ideas that would make our world a better place……According to the American Cancer Society.…..every year, a staggering 440,000 people die in the US from tobacco use. So if your goal really is to save lives…(and I’m sure that is the only motivation behind outlawing guns)….then let’s make tobacco use illegal. According to the FARS Encyclopedia (Fatality Analysis Reporting System)…37,261 people died in “motor vehicle traffic crashes” in 2008. So here’s another problem area to target. Let’s make driving a car illegal. Not only would that fix Al Gore’s “global warming” problem…it would also save almost 40,000 lives every year. Here’s another interesting fact from the CDC (Center For Disease Control)……”From 2001–2005, there were approximately 79,000 deaths annually attributable to excessive alcohol use. In fact, excessive alcohol use is the 3rd leading lifestyle-related cause of death for people in the United States each year”.(these are deaths from alcohol related diseases only) So here’s an idea for Al Gore…..the next time you have a “global warming summit”….(you know the black tie event, with all your tree-hugging buddies)…..."FOR GOD'S SAKE, CLOSE THE BAR...IT'S KILLING PEOPLE". The CDC also reported that 20,000 people die annually from “sexual behavior”….so following the “anti-gun” logic….we have no choice but to outlaw ALL forms of sexual behavior.
Then we get to deaths related to guns…..In an article in the “Arizona Republic News” dated November 7, 2009 and titled "How Many Have To Die Before We Put Vital Controls On Guns"….Linda Wiewiorkiewicz wrote the following…”There are 30,000 gun-related deaths each year in the United States”. Since I’m sure that an anti-gun advocate would always research her facts properly......I’ll use her number for annual gun-related deaths....fair enough? Those who oppose citizens owning guns often use the following argument….”If we saved only one life….wouldn’t it be worth it?” I don’t know…let’s look at the numbers side by side…………
Death from alcohol related diseases: 79,000
Deaths from automobile crashes : 37,261
Deaths from tobacco use : 440,000
Death from sexual behavior : 20,000
Death from guns : 30,000
So my question is this…..where do we start? The last time I checked….there are a LOT of drugs that are illegal in the United States. We even have an ongoing “War On Drugs”. But I’m pretty sure that you can still buy illegal drugs if you want them. Why? Because making something illegal generally only stops the law-abiding people. You cannot tell me that a crack addict only uses crack because they don’t know it’s illegal. No the fact is they don’t care that crack is illegal.
When the U.S. enacted prohibition in 1913…it didn’t stop people from drinking alcohol…..it just changed where you had to go to get it. Some sources say that by 1925....there were between 30,000 and 100,000 "speak-easy" clubs in New York City alone as a result of banning the sale of alcohol....(that worked well, don't you think).....Banning guns is no different. Instead of going to a gun store….those who want to buy a gun, will buy it from the trunk of some guys car. It is very twisted logic to think that making guns illegal will stop someone from committing a crime. What you’re saying is this…..someone decides that they want to kill a bunch of people…but since guns are illegal…they decide NOT to do it…..Hold on…KILLING A BUNCH OF PEOPLE IS ILLEGAL TOO !!!!. These people that murder, rape, steal, etc….don’t abide by the law….so they will get a gun somewhere. What you WILL accomplish however (by banning guns) is that when that person decides to start shooting into that crowd of people….he will be the only one with a gun.
I have a concealed weapon permit….and I carry a weapon every place I go (where it is legal)…While I hope I never need to use it….I assure you that if I am at the mall with my family…and some crazy person starts randomly shooting people…I will do my best to stop him. I’m pretty sure my chances of stopping him are a lot better if I am armed than if I am not. If you’re “anti-gun” and this wacko is targeting you next….do you want me to have a gun? I’m a believer in a different type of “gun control” …that’s why I practice at the range…and also why my gun has a laser sight on it. (so I can "control" where my "gun" shoots). The bottom line is this…..criminals are not going to adhere to gun laws any more than they will adhere to the other laws that they break. I truly believe that the only thing it will do if we outlaw guns….is to make law-abiding people more vulnerable to those who are not law-abiding……As for me….I’ll continue to be a “bitter white guy who clings to my religion and my gun”…..Why?....because unlike a lot of what Congress to trying to do right now…..it’s my right to do so. Then Again….That’s Just Me.

I have a concealed weapon permit….and I carry a weapon every place I go (where it is legal)…While I hope I never need to use it….I assure you that if I am at the mall with my family…and some crazy person starts randomly shooting people…I will do my best to stop him. I’m pretty sure my chances of stopping him are a lot better if I am armed than if I am not. If you’re “anti-gun” and this wacko is targeting you next….do you want me to have a gun? I’m a believer in a different type of “gun control” …that’s why I practice at the range…and also why my gun has a laser sight on it. (so I can "control" where my "gun" shoots). The bottom line is this…..criminals are not going to adhere to gun laws any more than they will adhere to the other laws that they break. I truly believe that the only thing it will do if we outlaw guns….is to make law-abiding people more vulnerable to those who are not law-abiding……As for me….I’ll continue to be a “bitter white guy who clings to my religion and my gun”…..Why?....because unlike a lot of what Congress to trying to do right now…..it’s my right to do so. Then Again….That’s Just Me.

"Ok…Either Straighten Up…Or I Will Stop This Car……"
Anybody else remember those words?.....When I was a little boy….my brother and I would get into fights in the back seat of the car and my Dad would say those very words. That was the sentence that would put an end to all bickering, fighting and nonsense that might be going on. Why?..... Because he meant it….He actually would stop the car and spank us right there on the side of the road if we didn’t do what he said……(Ahhhhhh…..good times….)
Now that I’m older…..I really want to make that same statement. Not to my son….but rather to the members of Congress. “If you don’t straighten up…..and stop with the ignorance and stupidity….I will stop this car….”
The following is your warning….(my Dad always gave us a warning)
Dear Congressperson (fill in your own name in the blank)….,
It seems that you have forgotten exactly what it is that I hired you to do. You also seem to have forgotten that YOU work for ME…and not the other way around. You also don’t seem to understand that I am not some idiot, who needs the likes of you, to make decisions on things that YOU think that I am too stupid to understand. You need to do what you are told to do……If you don’t think that you can do that…then maybe I should give you the opportunity to find work elsewhere. Let’s put this into perspective…..I have successfully run businesses for years…Have you ever even ran a snow-cone stand? For that matter….have you ever even held a job where your salary wasn’t paid for by the taxpayers? While we’re on that subject…..REAL executive jobs require a person to be successful in the execution of their particular position….and in addition….assure that the company (that they work for, or own) remains profitable. In the REAL world….that is a requirement in order for you not to be fired…...While it’s very bad for me…..it’s a good thing for you, that your job doesn’t have the same requirements. That’s because you and your buddies have almost bankrupted the company that you were hired to work for…(that would be the United States of America). I am sick of your lack of concern for the company that you work for….and I am sick of you acting like you’re the boss….listen closely…”YOU ARE AN EMPLOYEE….GOT IT?”….
You will have an opportunity…..over the next few days……to do the right thing on this health care bill. You really need to get this one right….if you want to continue to work here. Since you obviously don’t have the proper training for making a decision such as this….let me help you. Unless you are going to pay for this plan out of your own personal money…then don’t vote for it. I will not allow you to saddle my son and his kids and their kids with the kind of debt that will come about from this bill. Don’t lie to me about not increasing the deficit with this ridiculous idea (that includes you…employee number 44….I think your last name is…Obama…or something like that….) You cannot spend a TRILLION dollars and NOT increase the deficit. That’s just stupid. And don’t try to tell me that you’re going to save money by cutting costs somewhere else….(again…lean forward and read carefully)…”IT WONT HAPPEN”…Why do I say that?....because it NEVER does. You cannot add thousands of new government employees to work in these programs that have been laid out in this bill…AND…cut costs. Ask yourself…(and for once be honest)…has there ever been anything that the government did that was cost efficient?...(that’s a rhetorical question) You do not know how to be frugal. Understand that the money that you are talking about spending….(you know that TRILLION dollars) is not your money. In order for that money to be there…it has to TAKEN from someone like me….and that is NOT acceptable. While we’re having this little chat between boss (me) and employee (you)…..it has come to my attention that some of your buddies are not paying their OWN taxes…and yet they want to increase taxes on those of us who actually get up and go to work every day. So…the next time that you are in the break room with Charlie Rangel….tell him that I will fire him so fast it will make his head spin, if he doesn’t straighten up. I simply will not tolerate employees stealing from the company. So let’s be clear on this…..you can consider this a final written warning that will go into your employee personnel file. If we have to have this talk again…you will be terminated. So...I will leave you with these parting words, Congressperson (fill in the blank)….”straighten up and stop with the ignorance and stupidity….or I will stop this car…..and you will be sorry”.

Is Barack Obama A Marxist?....(that’s kind of a rhetorical question)
A note to the regular readers of "Then Again....That's Just Me"...Today's writing is somewhat void of my normal outstanding wit...As I wrote today, I actually found myself in tears more than once...just thinking about the truth of what I was writing and where we seem to be heading as a nation. I will do my best to return to my regular tremendously witty self tomorrow....

Is that enough?….or should I look harder?…because that’s just a start..............
In case you aren’t familiar with some of these fine folks….allow me to introduce just a few of them to you…and tell you a few things about them that you might find interesting (or you might be like me, and find them completely disgusting….)
Anita Dunn (Interim White House Communications Director)…in a speech to a group of high school students…Ms. Dunn said the following….”And then the third lesson and tip actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa -- not often coupled with each together, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices”….. Some of Ms. Dunn’s supporters have stated that her words have simply been taken out of context. With this in mind…after reading a transcript of the entire speech…I will admit that by only reading bits and pieces of the speech…it is possible to for it to be taken out of context….However, my question is this…If you are a responsible adult, why would you even refer to someone as evil as Mao, in a speech to high school age kids, that could in any way be taken out of context? Much less say that he was one of “the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point” I’m sure that the Adolph Hitler fans were offended that she doesn’t include him. (maybe he’s at least in her top 10….keep your fingers crossed all you little Hitler-ites) The one thing that she didn’t say, in order to put her comments into proper context, was that Mao killed between 60 and 70 million of his own people.…Of course her supporters…rather than admit that she was just plain wrong…..have chosen instead to demonized anyone who has pointed out her lack of good judgment in choosing a hero….(I can only hope that I can be counted in the latter group)
Robert McChesney (“one of those people” that now President Obama “surrounds himself with") McChesney is the founder of the organization “Free Press”, a national media reform organization that worked with the Obama Presidential Campaign to help develop their “tech policies”….(again this is someone to whom the President of the United States and his administration are now looking to for advice…..just in case you forgot how important this is…go back to the top of the page and read that quote again) and is now a frequent guest of the Obama administration's Chairman of the FCC. Keep these meetings in mind as you read some of his quotes on “free speech". He is also a board member of the “Norman Solomon Institute for Public Accuracy”. He is also a former editor and current board member of the self-proclaimed Marxist magazine “Monthly Review”……which has a fifty-year history of supporting Communist movements and regimes. Here is a quote from Mr. McChesney……"Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to be necessarily part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist system itself. Also, there is no real answer, but to remove, brick by brick, the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles." Here’s another quote from Mr. McChesney…”We need to do whatever we can to limit capitalist propaganda, regulate it, minimize it, and perhaps even eliminate it”
Rev. Jeremiah Wright (President Obama’s Pastor for 20 years) said this…..“My work with liberation theology, with Latin American theologians, with the Black Theology Project and with the Cuban Council of Churches taught me 30 years ago the importance of Marx and the Marxist analysis of the social realities of the vulnerable and the oppressed who were trying desperately to break free of the political economics undergirded by this country that were choking them and cutting off any hope of a possible future where all of the people would benefit.”……In another beautiful quote by the good Reverend…..he called America the…“land of the greed and home of the slave” There’s not a lot that has to be said in regard to the racist Jeremiah Wright….This is the man who speaks in his church about the evils of capitalism and the evil white man….and yet lives in a 10,340 square foot home set in the gated community of the Odyssey Country Club in suburban Chicago. This is only a guess on my part….but I would think that his home is just a tiny bit nicer than his average parishioner’s home… especially since the lot that his house was built on (just the land without the house) sold for $345,000 back in 2004. I certainly don’t have a problem with someone living in a house like that…..not at all….the only thing I would say is that if you do….then shut up (especially from the pulpit) about the evil rich white people…when it is so obvious now that there are also evil rich black people. (Note to Jeremiah: when you constantly race-bait….it is a very good chance you will be grouped with other famous race-baiters…like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton…who, now that I think about it….have also done quite well financially….are also black….who also claim to be ministers….and who also constantly talk about the down-trodden black man and evil, rich, white America)
I could go on….but I won’t…at least right now. Actually to tell you the truth…I cant go on right now. Just doing the research on these people has brought me to tears a few times......and to a point of disgust and nausea several times. But feel free to research the other names on the above list of people that President Obama has surrounded himself with. I will continue at a later date with insights on some of the others on this list….but for now…this is all I can take without my head exploding. I have only chosen 3 people from a long list of Marxists…..ALL of whom have close ties to Barack Obama. While you are thinking about these people....don't forget Obama's own words to Joe the Plumber during the presidential campaign....he said himself that he thought it was good to "spread the wealth around"....That is about as Marxist as it gets...So....all I ask is that you take a look at Obama’s own words….then look at the people that he surrounds himself with…(whom he said would be indicators of what his policies would be) and then ask yourself again….Is Obama A Marxist?.....I think the answer is obvious. Then Again….That’s Just Me
