When Scott Brown won the race for a U.S. Senate seat that had been held by the late Ted Kennedy for over 40 years…..it seemed that that the people of Massachusetts had issued a clear message to all of the elected officials in Washington…..Here was a Conservative Republican winning an election in a state where the ratio of Democrats to Republicans is 3 to 1. The only way that this could have happened was that Republicans, Independents AND Democrats overwhelmingly voted for him. The people of Massachusetts weren’t just voting FOR Scott Brown….I believe that they were also voting AGAINST his opponent Martha Coakley, and the liberal agenda of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid. While this is obvious to most sane people.....it seems that the Obama administration didn’t get the memo. For all of you “math people”….it’s the old "Theory of Transitivity"...(if A=B and B=C then A=C) In the case of the Scott Brown in Massachusetts, it goes something like this….
“A” is the People of Massachusetts
“B” is the Health Care Bill and the spending spree of the current administration
“C” is Martha Coakley
So what you end up with is the People of Massachusetts “A”….didn’t like the Health Care Bill and the spending spree of the current administration “B”…..however Martha Coakley “C” simply loved the Health Care Bill and the spending spree of the current administration (and I’m sure it loved her as well)…..so the outcome was (hold on because this is groundbreaking)…the People of Massachusetts didn’t like Martha Coakley….Sounds simple enough, right?
While the before-mentioned reasoning might seem simple enough to the uneducated masses....obviously the "Theory of Transitivity" is not taught at Harvard. I only say that based on President Obama's comments that were made in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos following the election of Scott Brown….."The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office, swept me into office……People are angry, and they're frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years." I’m pretty sure that Obama was saying was that Scott Brown won the Senate seat in Massachusetts because of the “failed policies of George W. Bush”…(the official mantra of the Democrat Party) Seriously? We all know that George W. Bush personally caused Hurricane Katrina….started the war in Iraq and Afghanistan completely on his own….we also know that Bush was totally responsible for the so-called “terror attacks” of September 11th, 2001….and of course, it is common knowledge that George W. Bush was responsible for the outbreak of the Bubonic plague, that swept through Europe in the 1300’s killing millions of people………But even with knowing all of those things to be factual….isn’t it a bit of a stretch to say that Democrats in Massachusetts voted for a Republican…..because of George W. Bush?
