This One Is Mine….I’m Going Back For Yours

There is a story told of a who man got up every morning and took the same cab to work. This went on for years until one morning the cab driver looked at the guy and said….”I know it’s probably none of my business, but why don’t you and your wife share a cab to get to work every day. After all, where she works is on the way to your office”. The man replied…”What are you talking about? My wife doesn’t work”…to which the cab driver replied “Sure she does…in fact tomorrow morning after I take you to work…I’ll go pick up your wife and take her to work….then I’ll come back to your office and take you to where she works”….So the next morning they did just that…The cab driver drove the man to work….then went and picked up the man’s wife and took her to work….then he went and picked up the man and drove him to where his wife worked. Upon seeing that the cab had stopped in front of a brothel, the man went nuts and said to the cab driver…”Are you telling me that my wife works in a brothel?”…The cab driver said…”Well I guess so, this is where I have dropped her off every day for years….Why don’t I just go in and get her, and prove it to you”. So the cab driver goes into the brothel and after several minutes of screaming, cursing and sounds of broken glass, he comes out of the brothel with a woman in tow. The man in the cab starts to laugh and says to the cab driver…”I knew you were wrong…that’s not my wife”….The cab driver replied…”Yeah I know…this is MY wife…I’ll go back in and get yours”

Last night the message from voters…to ALL of those in Congress (both Republicans and Democrats) was this….”We just went in and dragged our whore out….in the Fall, we’ll be going back for yours”. If the people of Massachusetts…where the ratio of Democrats to Republicans is 3 to 1…are so sick of the nonsense in Washington…that they would elect a Republican....then it’s a good chance that some of the other states will follow suit in the Fall Elections. Remember this is a seat that was held virtually uncontested by Ted Kennedy for over 40 years, that has now gone to a Republican. Now before all of you Republicans get all full of yourselves, remember this….most people don’t like you much better than the Democrats. What has been going on in Congress for far too long is finally catching up to both parties. People are tired of being ignored by those who were supposed to be representing them. People are tired of promises of transparency in the governmental process….and then being forced to sit and watch while “back room” deals are being cut. People are tired of the hundreds of millions of dollars in bribes that have been given to select states, in order to secure the vote of their particular representative. People are tired of seeing their representatives headed toward Socialism at the speed of a fat man chasing a wheel of cheese downhill. In short…..people are sick of pretty much everything…that everyone in Washington is doing, and last night their voices were finally heard. As Scott Brown made clear during his campaign…the Senate seat that he was running for, was not “Ted Kennedy’s seat, or the Democrats seat…it was the people’s seat”.

While I’m sure that many of the Democrats are still looking for a way to cram this health care bill down the throats of the American people….there is at least one person who surprisingly seems to get it, and that is Senator Anthony Weiner (D – NY)…(Ok, I know that I could go 57 different directions with this one…oh the possibilities….but I won’t) Weiner said this…"I don't think I could vote for the Senate bill and I don't think there are the votes in the House to pass the Senate bill. We're in full whistling-past-the-graveyard mode in there…… They're talking about what our negotiations are with the White House. Well, yeah, and then the last line is, 'Pigs fly out of my a**' or something like that." Weiner went on to say that what he feels needs to happen, is a jobs bill that includes some small elements of health care reform. It is also reported that when Harry Reid was asked if the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts would derail the Democrat’s health care bill…he invoked the words of Ted Kennedy, saying “We’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it” (not really…I just made that one up…oh stop it, you know you laughed when you read it)

Here is what I think it comes down to…..The people have spoken that it’s time for a change from the change. Stop acting like you know what is better for us than we do. Stop acting like you are so much more intelligent than the general population (although some of those people did elect you, so I guess that part is debatable). Stop spending our money, our kids and our grandkids money like it was yours. Stop acting like the job that you currently have, is yours for life. Straighten up or come election time, you will find yourself in line with the millions of others who are unemployed. You better listen up… or you’ll be next. The people of Massachusetts already went in and got theirs…..The people of your state could be going back in November to get theirs. Then Again….That’s Just Me
